Chief Jeff Stewart

Chief Jeff Stewart began his fire service career as a volunteer with the Bradley County Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 22. In 2007, he was hired as a career firefighter with Bradley County Fire Rescue, where he steadily advanced through the ranks to roles such as Company Officer, Training Captain, Battalion Commander, and Deputy Chief. His dedication and expertise earned him the appointment as Fire Chief by Mayor D. Gary Davis in December 2023. Chief Stewart brings a wealth of technical skills to his role, including expertise in Incident Command, EMS, TN Taskforce 4 Technical Rescue, Fire Suppression, HazMat, Health & Safety, Swiftwater Rescue, Fire Training Academy, Officer Training, and Labor Relations. Chief Stewart holds an Associate's Degree in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University and an Advanced EMT certification from Cleveland State Community College.
